Prince Heinrich XI. Reuß of Obergreiz

Henry XI led the county of Reuß-Obergreiz to new prestige. He founded his own court library as early as 1747. He systematically expanded his residence.
Through the inheritance of Reuß-Untergreiz in 1768, he was able to reunite the possessions of the House of Reuß Elder Line. Now the so-called summer palace was built. His close ties to the imperial court in Vienna earned Henry XI membership of the Order of St. Stephen and the title of Imperial "Honorary Privy Councillor", as well as elevation to the rank of Imperial Prince in 1778.
