After the in-depth look into the past under the motto “Spiced up! From castle to palace” in 2024, the Thuringian Castle Days 2025 will be all about social dynamism. From June 6 to 9, the event entitled “Stand up! Rule and People”, the event invites visitors to explore the interrelationships between power and community.

How did the interaction between princes, burghers and peasants shape the history of the Thuringian castles? What traces of uprisings, reforms and changes of power are still visible today? Answers to these questions are provided by lively guided tours, lectures and interactive productions that take visitors on an exciting journey through the centuries.
