On September 20th, 2025, children and families celebrated the 7th Thuringian Castles Children's Day – a day full of adventure, imagination and history. Whether at the historical castle spectacle with camp life, fire magic and knight fights, printing in the card-making workshop, theatre, puppet shows or a magic show – there was something to discover and marvel at everywhere. Fairy tale readings, costume tours and even a dance class made the day an experience for young and old alike.

Castle Children's Day is now a fixed date in the calendar and is celebrated every year on September 20th. In 2026, you can once again expect lots of surprises and exciting programmes – stay tuned!
